Musicians playing together in an intimate venue

About Migrant Sounds

Different backgrounds.
One musical conversation.

A shared stage in Berlin, open to new sounds.

The idea

Latin America · Africa · Middle East · Europe

Migrant Sounds began with a simple idea: bring musicians from different backgrounds together to play.

Guitarist José Carlos Mayorga founded the project in Berlin through his work with ARTivisten e.V. Its five permanent members have Latin American roots: José Carlos, Isabella, Pablo, Gato and Greco.

The music draws on Latin American, African, Middle Eastern and European traditions. Those influences shape what the musicians play together on stage.
